People have increasing demands for residential environment. Noises easily cause tiredness, interfering with spirit concentration and decreasing work efficiency. Therefore, how to conduct noise prevention has become a critical research issue. This study uses Polyol and Isocyanate to produce Polyurethane (PU) foams with a foaming principle, after foaming and curing the PU foams have a porous structure. The PU foam composite boards with sound absorption and thermal insulation functions are finally manufactured. The resulting composite boards are evaluated and discussed in terms of sound absorption and mechanical properties. The research results show that density of the PU foaming composite boards is 80 kg/m3. At the frequency of 1000 Hz, the boards have the best sound absorption coefficient of 0.68 and the coefficient of thermal conductivity of 0.182 W / mK.
